Specializing in athletic rehabilitation and the prevention of injuries, Dr. Spång consults with multiple professional organizations as well as individuals and provide care for athletes in all sports including NHL, MLS, NFL, NBA, NWSL, MLB as well as collegiate/youth athletes.

Dr. Spång uses a science driven physical therapy approach based on biomechanical movement analysis and objective testing along with qualitative movement analysis to provide return to sports rehabilitation. By integrating rehabilitation, injury prevention, and sport specific conditioning Robert is optimizing athlete’s sports performance and ensuring complete transition from the rehabilitative phase to the competitive phase. Dr. Spång is a Physical Therapist for the Los Angeles Kings and the Los Angeles Galaxy, and he is involved in the MIS Biomechanical & Sports Science lab, which strongly influences his approach with athletes.

Dr. Spång earned his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. He is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS), a Gray Institute Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS) and a certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Since 2002, Dr. Spång has served the greater Los Angeles / Orange County area amateur and professional athletes and teams from all arenas and his primary interest is soccer (football).
